Role: 2nd Line Engineer - Microsoft Stack
Salary: £30-35k DOE
Location: Southampton
We're looking for a skilled 2nd Line Engineer to join a fast paced, and progressive team! You'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional IT support and managing clients' infrastructure and IT support. As a 2nd Line Engineer, you will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive technical support, troubleshooting complex IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of clients' systems.

The Role:
- Delivering advanced technical support for a wide range of hardware and software issues, including Microsoft Windows, Apple OS, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Managing and maintaining critical IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, and virtualisation systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of IT systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions.
- Strong foundation in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Experience in managing and supporting server, network, and virtualisation infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on delivering timely solutions.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cloud certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365)
- Scripting abilities (PowerShell)
- ITIL qualifications
