Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues, both remotely and on-site, including within the factory and abattoir.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals to ensure performance and security.
- Assist in managing the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, documenting solutions and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Perform system backups, updates, and maintenance to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
- Monitor system performance, identifying and recommending areas for improvement.
- Assist with IT projects, from planning to implementation and testing of new hardware, software, or networks.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and support their IT needs.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, software, and licences, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies, sharing knowledge with the IT team to drive improvements.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with IT security standards and best practices.
