3rd Line Support Engineer
Chorley (Fully Officed Based)

Are you an experienced IT professional with expertise in resolving complex technical issues? We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable 3rd Line IT Engineer to join our esteemed team. As a Senior 3rd Line IT Engineer, you will play a key role in providing advanced technical support, managing infrastructure projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Job Role
  • Serve as the highest level of escalation for technical issues, troubleshooting complex problems, and providing expert guidance and solutions
  • Lead and participate in infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for server, network, and application-related incidents
  • Design and implement robust and scalable IT solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, software developers, and security analysts, to deliver comprehensive IT solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a 3rd Line IT Engineer or similar senior technical role
  • Deep understanding of server operating systems (Windows) and virtualization technologies.
  • Expertise in managing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
