3rd Line Support Engineer
Birmingham (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced IT professional looking for an exciting opportunity? Digital Waffle are seeking a dynamic and experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to drive our client's cutting-edge initiatives to new horizons!

As the 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will provide outstanding service delivery on a day-to-day basis and help manage and develop IT business systems.

Job Role:
  • Provide technical expertise, consultancy, project management, implementation, and support for all core infrastructure including Virtualisation, Networking, Servers, Active Directory,Azure/M365, Backup, Firewalls, Storage, Wi-Fi, Access Control and Mobiles.
  • Provide technical expertise, consultancy, project management, implementation, and support for IT projects including system upgrades, platform refreshes, implementation, and system testing.
  • Provide 3rd line technical support to the helpdesk and act as a point of escalation for 1st/2nd
    line engineers.
  • Mentor 1st/2nd Line Engineers in the team.
  • Work closely with the Head of IT and senior IT Team in peer reviewing and implementing IT strategies, projects and assisting with establishing technical architectures.

Key skills & Technical Experience:
  • Strong demonstrable experience managing Azure AD/M365 environments including AAD, InTune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint etc.
  • Management of enterprise virtualisation platforms.
  • Installation and management of enterprise firewalls.
  • CCNA/CCNP or equivalent qualification in networking.
  • Proven experience as a 3rd Line IT Engineer (3-5 years min)
