Location: Walsall, UK (Hybrid)
Salary: £70k-£80k per annum + 20% bonus

Role Overview:
As an AWS & Kafka Engineering Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless deployment and scalability of our applications. Your expertise in AWS, Kafka, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and PHP or Python, will be essential in optimising our systems for performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Utilise Kafka for efficient data streaming and messaging.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes.
• Work with PHP or Python to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in an AWS environment.
• Strong proficiency in Kafka, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and PHP or Python.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and best practices.
• Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
