Data Analyst / BI Report Developer

Salary - Up to £40,000

Location - Ashby-de la-Zouch / Hybrid


A new opportunity has come up for a BI Analyst to join an innovative organisation that have set out ambitious plans to grow their Analytics team.


For this role they will consider Juniors looking to take their first step into an Analytics role, or for someone who has had a couple years' experience in a similar role as they look to continue their journey and learn new exciting skills within Analytics. For this position, you will join a small but creative team while working on the following Responsibilities:


  • Delivering analysis in a logical manner that is clear, concise and draws attention to the key findings.
  • Understand business requirements for reports and dashboards and to translate these to provide insights
  • Support data warehouse processes
  • Management of customer databases
  • Support projects to develop solutions to deliver insight from company systems and external data sources
  • Create reporting to monitor business performance ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Provide a creative approach to problem solving and ability to take a fresh look at established procedures
  • Support interfaces between company and client information systems
  • Create and maintain departmental documentation
  • Provide quality assurance for all work produced
  • Configuration and support of CRM systems used by field sales teams
  • Monitor helpdesk calls and workload


Qualification/Skill Requirements:


Essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience and working knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Server Previous use of data visualisation tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong team working skills
  • Time management skills
Desirable
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Knowledge of data warehouse principles
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry and NHS
  • Experience with GIS software
  • Knowledge of Python or R
  • Good PowerPoint Skills
