BI Developer
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 DOE
Location: Wigton (4 days a week on-site)

Description
Working as part of a small team that covers a range of roles, from developing bespoke systems, managing our ERP system, through to developing our BI & Analytics platform, primarily, the BI Developer will:
- Help design, develop and optimise the data warehouse
- Perform SQL table and query management to optimise performance
- Create and maintain dashboards and interactive visual reports
- Help Develop data interfaces between internal systems external vendors to retrieve or transmit data for reporting purposes using ETL expertise and tools
- Analyse data to gain useful insights
- Develop and support integration between key business systems
- Lead in the translation of business objectives and requirements into functional solutions
- Identify areas for process improvements.
- Design, develop and implement technical solutions based on existing technologies.
- Research and recommending new approaches and technologies to improve business productivity
- Document systems and procedures
- Collect and analyse data to optimize performance
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Supporting and handing over skills to other members of the team
- Interaction with, and management of external partners
Technical Skills
- Experience with BI tools
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases
- knowledge of ETL and data modelling (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and visualisation (either PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects, SSRS, etc).
- Experience with programming and scripting languages (Desirable)
- Experience designing and building BI solutions
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Have good oral and written communication skills
- Motivated to learn (formal education will be considered)

- Strong problem-solving skills
