Our client is a young development agency offering bespoke software products. They work with small start-ups to help bring their ideas to life, grow their products, and help raise investment. They dream BIG - working on a range of products including single-page applications, static websites, and mobile apps.

Role: Frontend Developer
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: Up to £60,000

They are looking for a great JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You ideally will have worked with React for several years in a commercial capacity, whilst training and on-the-job experience will be given, they are expecting somebody to come on board and hit the ground running within their first week!!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Developing new user-facing features using React.js
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Unit testing frontend code and components
  • Using tools like StoryBook for component documentation
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Working alongside backend engineers to connect RESTful API endpoints

Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular state management (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Familiarity with Next.js

Nice-to-Haves (But not necessary)
  • Multi-project experience (Agency)
  • Familiarity with SASS
  • Familiarity with React Native
  • Experience with Project Management tools (such as Jira)
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Worked in start-ups
