What You'll Do:
- Lead strategy and investment around the core platform that is critical to the success of the company.
- Work with engineering teams to define vision around production data, Level's product offering, and payments processing.
- Mentor engineers and engineering leads on their technical skills, strategy, and leadership so they can actualize their career goals.
- Collaborate with other teams like product, sales, and customer success for Level's product direction and execution.
- Implement processes that move efficiency and quality.
- Plan for growth of the organization and scale the team.
- Facilitate engineering culture with retrospectives, postmortems, lunch and learn meetings, and coding standards.
Who You Are:
- Passion for customers, technology and great products.
- Demonstrated success at building core systems that are scalable, easy to understand, and maintainable.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to launch features involving several moving pieces and contributed directly to the key metrics and success of the company.
- Worked with teams and members of the entire organization to establish and achieve holistic business and technical goals.
- Experience leading back-end and product at a company with engineering-driven culture with an emphasis on scalability and simplicity.
- An approach to work and decision-making that empowers the people around you, effectively utilizing the team's expertise and enabling them to do their best work.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices and a passion for driving the creation of roadmaps and outlining the technology strategy for core platform to promote Level's strategic plans.
