Digital Waffle is working in partnership with a care specialist company. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Infrastructure Engineer.

Job Role:

The purpose of this role will be to exploit the many opportunities to improve data handling functions already available to the business via its deployment of the online Microsoft 365 platform (such as the use of SharePoint Online to host staff file data, Document Classification, Data Loss Protection, Retention Policies, etc.) as well as the management and operation of the existing legacy data hosting platforms hosted in other locations.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:
  • Provide technical expertise of data storage opportunities and usage within Microsoft 365 (including, but not limited to SharePoint Online, and OneDrive).
  • Management and migration of a complex on-premises data storage platform (Windows servers running DFS) to SharePoint Online
  • Implementation and operation of Microsoft 365 Data Loss Protection
  • Implementation and operation of Microsoft 365 Document Classification
  • Implementation and operation of Microsoft 365 Retention Policies
  • Implementation and operation of other Microsoft 365 data compliance and governance services.
  • Management and operation of our backup and restore services. This will include regular restore tests to ensure the validity of data and internal processes.
  • Adviceandassistinthedevelopmentanddeployment of IT security across the entire spectrum of the business's IT systems.
  • Working with IT staff to develop the corporate network, systems, and security as and when required.
  • The root causes analysis of technical issues and implements appropriate solutions.
  • Implementing and participating in IT projects that are defined and planned with the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager and others.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the business’s disaster and recovery processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation of IT services and operations.
