Job Role
We are seeking an experienced hands-on IT Engineer to join our IT team and be responsible for our internal IT and collaboration systems.

What will your job look like?

This role reports to the Head of IT and is based in the Birmingham office.

We are a UK-based company, with largely cloud-based IT systems supporting four offices. We are heavy users of Google Suite and all of its constituent products, as well as Zoom for videoconferencing and phone, Cisco switching, Palo Alto border and end-point security, and cloud-native directory, device management, and other services. Our user base is majority Mac, with a very small Windows contingent.

Requirements What do you need?
  • Proven hands-on work experience in a IT position, including experience in networks, IP/data/routing and switching, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • CCNP and/or CCNA certification or equivalent/similar qualification, and must be able to demonstrate experience in the administrator of Cisco network environments.
  • In-depth experience of working within the Apple ecosystem, including a predominantly macOS and iOS user-base, including Jamf or other Mac device management systems.
  • Knowledge of managing Google Workspace (GSuite), Okta or equivalent, Atlassian products, Zoom, and other cloud-first IT systems.
  • Experience in cloud-based IT service management and in particular AWS infrastructure components including on-prem to AWS network bridging.
  • Excellent knowledge of VPN, DNS, DHCP, LANs/VLANs, etc, in a largely Cisco networking environment.
  • Experience in firewall management.
  • Experience working with IT ticketing systems against SLAs.
  • The ability to research, design, and propose fully costed solutions to business problems in a straightforward manner.
