Role: IT Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: £45,000 + On-call allowance (£300-£350 per week on-call, every 8 weeks)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days in the office in Leicester (LE19)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administration and support for over 7,000 client machines, 300+ servers, 1,600+ Cisco LAN devices, and 220+ WAN links.
- Manage and maintain mission-critical enterprise IT systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex LAN/WAN/WLAN issues using Cisco network equipment.
- Implement and manage virtualized environments using VMware or Hyper-V.
- Develop, maintain, and test IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell and other scripting technologies.
- Support cloud-based platforms and services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Administer and support Microsoft technologies including Exchange Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Windows Server OS.
- Manage and configure Storage Area Networks (SAN) and backup systems.
- Implement and maintain Cisco Unified Communication VOIP platforms.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Candidates should have relevant experience in at least three of the following areas:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Exchange Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, Windows Server OS).
- Experience with Storage Area Networks and backup systems.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Expertise in PowerShell automation for administrative tasks.
- Competence in managing Cisco network equipment, diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
- Experience in clustered virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of IT security (network, server, and application layers).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communication VOIP platforms.
