I am looking for a Junior Frontend Web Developer to join one of the UK’s leading brand agencies. They boast an enviable portfolio of clients, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This is the perfect time to join and an AWESOME opportunity for anyone who wants to develop their career as a Frontend Developer. The job will require the successful candidate to have a portfolio to demonstrate. You will be expected to play a significant role in the inception, planning, design, and implementation of design of websites and apps from a functional but also from an aesthetic perspective. You will need to be confident in meeting with clients, accurately extracting requirements, and liaising with project managers to set out the necessary plans to execute the project as part of a team. Projects will vary, but knowledge of theming frameworks like Symfony are preferred.

Role: Junior Frontend Web Developer
Location: Loughborough, 5 days a week in a modern and spacious office in their new digital hub
Salary: Up to £30k

Responsibilities

  • The ability to produce high and review high-quality, clean code 
  • A focus on standards and accessibility e.g. W3C 
  • Supporting existing clients with front-end fixes and upgrade 
  • Communicating technical approaches to mixed audiences, including clients 
  • Understanding/experience with using front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind
  • Responsive and adaptive development experience
  • Understanding of user-first philosophy
  • Progress updates
  • Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients. 
Experience, Qualifications, and skills required  
  • HTML 
  • Symphony-based templating such as TWIG/Blade
  • SASS 
  • JavaScript 
  • JQuery 
  • PHP Templating (Drupal 7) 
  • Knowledge of CMS such as –Drupal, WordPress, and Statamic 
Advantageous Skills
  • React
