Procurement Officer 

A leading provider of interpreting and translation services to the Public Sector throughout the UK. As a result of the continuing expansion of our business, and having been awarded a number of new public sector contracts throughout the UK, we now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Procurement Officer to join us.

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team in where you’ll need to bring a minimum of three years’ experience in writing public sector tenders and relevant knowledge and understanding of the Public Sector Procurement Process.  

Reporting to the Head of the Public Sector Procurement Department, you will be required to: 
  • Monitor tender portals and flag new tender opportunities 
  • Download and analyse documentation to submit to management 
  • Design, write, edit, and check tenders to ensure all necessary information is included 
  • Undertake research and analysis activities in order to ensure all information currently utilised is up-to-date and accurate 
  • Develop and maintain libraries of tender documents 
  • Attend, arrange, and lead SMT meetings to finalise necessary documentation to prepare bids/tenders for submission 
  • Submit bids/tenders in an accurate and timely manner 
  • Follow up inquiries/attend presentation meetings/communicate with all levels of commissioning authorities after submission of bids/tenders 
Education, skills, and competencies 

Essential: 
  • Knowledge of Public Sector Tender processes from beginning to end 
  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar role 
  • Degree level education  
  • Excellent command of English, especially in writing/researching/communication and mathematical skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, even under pressure to meet tight deadlines 
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office software.
