Digital Waffle is working in partnership with an award-winning provider of content, channel, and platform security solutions for the sports, media, and entertainment industries. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior C++ Engineer.

Job Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our expanding Content Identification and Watermarking team working on automatic content recognition and covert video watermarking technologies.

What will your job look like?
This role reports to the Content Identification Team Leader and will be based in the Birmingham office.
The position requires experience in C++, with a good understanding of complex problems in software engineering. 

• Being responsible for the full development lifecycle of anti-piracy software, from design and prototype through development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Researching new techniques in the areas of video and audio fingerprinting, content classification, and watermarking.
• Prototyping and implementation of video/audio processing algorithms in C++.
• Integration of these algorithms into the FMTS cloud infrastructure, using PHP, MySQL, and Amazon Web Services (no prior experience required).
• Analyzing system performance and cost and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Requirements What do you need?

• Strong commercial software development experience, including at least
  3 years C++.
• Excellent mathematical skills, and ability to rapidly understand complex
  algorithms and systems.
• Experience with mathematically challenging software development such
  as algorithm development, image/video/signal processing, machine
  learning, etc.
• Experience working with agile software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems.
• PHP scripting
