Location: Hybrid/Twice a week - they have offices in Birmingham, London, or York.
Salary: Up to £85,000

What will your role look like?
They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Frontend Engineer with experience in a cloud environment. You’ll have experience working on diverse projects using web and hybrid applications, and all manner of frontend web development technologies and development tools. You understand RESTful API’s, using them in a frontend application to build applications that are responsive and performant.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will:

• Work as part of a team on a large-scale application that supports services in use by major global media companies
• Be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from design and prototype through development, testing, and deployment
• Deliver to rapid timescales in a dynamic environment
• Working effectively with your colleagues to estimate and deliver issues, working within teams that use Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrate drive and enthusiasm, innovating, working with minimal direction, meeting requirements, and delivering to a high standard
• Develop skills in multiple, challenging technical areas to work as part of a rapidly growing technical organisation
• Working as part of a team covering multiple web disciplines, to design, develop and deploy their next generation of web applications

Requirements:

• 6+ years of frontend experience
• Strong commercial development experience in frontend web development, good responsive design, browser performance, design consistency, and enthusiasm for technical challenges
• BEng / MEng / BSc / MSc in relevant subject or equivalent experience
• Strong commercial software development experience building large web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in building applications with frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React and/or Vue.js
• Knowledge of working with tools and frameworks that cover cross-browser and device testing
• Familiarity with software configuration management (SCM) concepts and version control systems, especially Git
• Experience with automated testing best practices, and Continuous Integration/Delivery
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems, including scripting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Web socket experience

Nice to haves:

• Experience using AWS services such as Amplify, Cognito, ECS, Lambda, S3
• Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL or Postgres
• Knowledge of server-side languages such as NodeJS, PHP, or Python
• Jira and Gitlab experience
