Senior Go Engineer | Go, Golang, Node.js | Berlin

Senior Backend Developer with skills in Go/Golang is sought after by a leading Fintech company based in Berlin. After launching almost 10 years ago, they are running an award-winning international product and need a strong engineer with to help them on a number of new and exciting additions. You will be focused on building applications that use AI and Machine Learning to provide users with a seamless product experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Be a big part of the design/implementation of APIs, product features, new services and systems
  • Work closely with other product teams to guarantee a smooth deployment, operation and support of high-quality software
  • Write detailed and clear documentation/testing for any features you design before their release
  • Provide/receive code reviews for/from other team members to ensure everyone is working to the best of their ability
  • Interact daily with our different areas bringing technical perspective for each new feature, but also taking account of the business value added on it

Skills and experience required:
  • Strong experience in Go Development
  • Ability to write clear and concise code that your teammates can understand and build upon
  • Any experience of Node.js would be valuable
  • Skills in microservices architecture and Restful APIs
  • You have experience with Git, SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL storages
  • Solid understanding around testing and how to create flexible tests
  • Good problem-solving skills centred around debugging
  • Any DevOps skills would be valuable
  • You are used to working in an Agile environment and it’s integrated into your everyday alignment within teams
  • You’re fluent in English
