SQL Developer
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 DOE (Requirement for. Number of Mid and Senior level Developer)
Location: Remote (once a month commute to the Derbyshire office - negotiable)

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

For this opportunity you will be working on the applications that drive operations within the organisations warehouse, integrating with state-of-the-art automation equipment that includes sorters and automated storage and also retrieval systems, migrating existing systems to a modern Warehouse Management System, and much more.

This role is available on a mainly remote basis, with office presence in Derbyshire as per business needs (once every month, but they are negotiable)

JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is available on a mainly remote basis, with office presence in Derbyshire as per business needs (once every month, but they are negotiable)
- Developing, testing and implementing code to departmental standards
- Working to plans / deadlines provided, escalating issues as appropriate
- Developing a wide variety of applications to support our business
- Interpreting requirements into working code
- Using an Agile Development Process
- Producing documentation and ensuring proposed solutions are fit for purpose
- Ensuring that communication to the business is professional, clear and appropriate
- Performing maintenance programming and correction of defects
QUALIFICATIONS
- A thorough understanding of SQL, either Microsoft SQL Server 2012+ or Oracle PL-SQL
- Experience debugging database related problems
- Database design & implementation skills
- Keen attitude towards learning and progressing your technical skills
- Strong communication skills and able to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Natural problem solver, able to use your own initiative
Desirable Skills:
- C#, .Net
- WPF, Win Forms
- ETL best practices and other large data movements
- Kafka
- Containers
- Azure
- Devops
- Experience with WMS
