Location: Milton Keynes (90% Remote)
Salary: £100K + £6K Car Allowance & 20% Bonus

Are you a DevOps leader with a passion for cutting-edge technologies and team leadership? We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to drive our cloud and containerisation strategy while leading a talented team in Birmingham.

Your Role:
As DevOps Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping our cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, and microservices strategy. You’ll lead a skilled team, ensuring seamless deployments and robust system performance, all while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers and DevOps engineers, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee and troubleshoot Kafka brokers, ensuring stability and efficiency.
• Manage and optimise public cloud environments (AWS).
• Work with microservices architectures, ensuring scalability and resilience.
• Implement and maintain containerisation strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive best practices in event-driven architecture and real-time data processing.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across the DevOps and software development teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, delivering presentations and clear technical insights.
• Manage workload efficiently, ensuring prioritisation of tasks under pressure.

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience in a DevOps leadership or team management role.
• Strong expertise in Kafka administration and diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
• Skilled in containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
• A strategic vision for platform technologies within a modern development environment.
• Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
