Job Role: Head of Engineering
Salary: €100k - 120k (dependent on experience)
Location: Cologne – Offers Remote Working
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Engineering to join a Cologne-based Environmental start-up that partners up with other businesses to help them become carbon-neutral via their software and services. In the New Year, the company hopes to grow its already diverse and dynamic team rapidly. The business is looking for an individual experienced in leading a team and is passionate about helping with the current climate crisis. In this Head of Engineering role, you will be managing your team via Scrum, hiring new team members, scaling company products, developing code, and working alongside Co-Founders and Product Managers.
The client is looking for a creative individual who can work in a structured manner and ideally has some start-up and SaaS experience from previous roles. Skills you should hold (with minimum of 6 years experience):
- A tech background and use in some of the following: Node.js, Javascript, React, React Native, and other modern SPA frameworks
- Knowledge of some cloud-based architectures
- Skills within a variety of databases, for example, MongoDB, MySQL, or others
- Team Leadership experience and a passion for the current climate crisis
- A junior team ready to collaborate with
- Flat hierarchies with close cooperation with colleagues and short-decision making paths
