Job Description:
My client are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Fitter to join their team on a contract basis. As a Contract Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on project needs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Read and Interpret Blueprints: Review and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan the layout and installation of piping systems.
  2. Pipe Installation: Install, assemble, and secure pipes, tubes, and fittings using various tools and techniques, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  3. Layout Planning: Plan and lay out the sequence of tasks required for efficient piping system installation, considering factors such as pipe size, type, and support structures.
  4. Pipe Fabrication: Fabricate pipe sections, spools, and components as needed, including cutting, welding, and bending pipes to meet project specifications.
  5. Pipe Testing: Conduct tests to verify the integrity of installed piping systems, identifying and addressing any leaks or issues.
  6. Collaboration with Team: Coordinate with other construction professionals, including welders, plumbers, and project managers, to ensure the successful integration of piping systems into larger projects.
  7. Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements on existing piping systems, addressing leaks, corrosion, or other issues.
  8. Adherence to Codes and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all pipe fitting activities.
  9. Tool and Equipment Operation: Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, such as pipe cutters and threading machines, safely and efficiently.
  10. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any challenges encountered during installations or maintenance.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in a construction, manufacturing, or related industry.
  2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  3. Proficiency in pipe installation techniques, including welding, threading, and bending.
  4. Familiarity with safety protocols and adherence to industry standards.
  5. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  6. Availability to work on a contract basis for the specified duration.
