I am looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a global leader in intelligent traffic solutions, they develop innovative mobility concepts for highway authorities, cities, and mobility providers who connect the dots of a new mobility revolution. This is a senior role that will see you working in both their onshore team and offshore development teams. I am looking for a motivated, autonomous developer with experience in designing and developing using Angular.

Role: Senior Software Engineer 
Location: Hybrid = 2 days a week in their office in Poole, Dorset 

Salary: Up to £48k

The team and what they do - 
If you drove or used public transport today, your journey was almost certainly helped along by code written by their development
teams. Their systems provide a comprehensive set of tools for managing the traffic network. This helps to keep traffic flowing efficiently, therefore, minimising congestion, and pollution to keep streets healthy. They produce software that integrates data from multiple sources to allow the effective management of the road network.

The Role - 
You will become part of a team of multi-disciplined engineers who are responsible for an important set of features that form a complex traffic management system. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to one of their SCRUM teams, bringing your experience in solving complex problems as they implement new features and improve existing architecture in a modern AWS-hosted solution.

About you - 
  • You have a strong coding background and can demonstrate strong competency in Angular
  • You are comfortable working in Agile teams
  • You can demonstrate experience in successfully delivering tasks within time, quality, and within budget
  • You are an effective communicator with strong oral and written communication skills
  • You can describe technical solutions to stakeholders and other developers
  • You are comfortable working with tools like GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and Docker
Key Responsibilities - 
  • Delivering quality Angular solutions from inception to production
  • Exploring how to use new technologies or design patterns through MVP/PoC Coding
  • Working with AWS cloud technologies to deliver solutions
  • Developing your domain knowledge, and sharing that knowledge with the rest of the team
  • Documentation that details the technical implementation of new features
  • Guiding other team members by providing answers to technical and feature questions, and undertaking code reviews
  • Providing regular progress updates to the Product Owner / Product Lifecycle Manager/Scrum Master
