Job description
A multi-disciplined web agency is now seeking a Software Engineering Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the development team.
You will be required to work closely with all facets of the agency, from project management through to design and marketing - ultimately creating brilliant functional eCommerce experiences!
The Development team is currently made up of 15. With a strong full-stack team, you will be joining a tight-knit unit that is accustomed to delivering on key projects. The focus of client briefs is varied across a range of eCommerce platforms from Shopify to BigCommerce and Magento.
Role: Software Engineering Manager
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid 2/3 days remote working)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial experience in the following skills:
The package comes with 25 days of holiday + 3 company-wide days off annually, private healthcare, and a variety of other benefits. They require someone onsite 2/3 days a week.

- Experience in leading a large team of Mid-level engineers/developers
- Hands-on experience in PHP web development
- Hands-on Experience with AWS and deployment to the cloud.
- Significant experience across a range of CMS' and MVC Frameworks
- For example; BigCommerce, WordPress, Shopify or Magento - and Laravel, Symfony or Codeigniter
- MySQL or MariaDB experience
- Hands-on JavaScript experience, specifically Vanilla JS and a framework such as Vue.js or React.js
- Exposure to a variety of Linux technologies
