Job description

A leading provider of business messaging solutions is hiring a talented and motivated Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring their customers receive the highest level of technical support and satisfaction. You'll work closely with our customers, internal teams, and external partners to troubleshoot issues, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall success of our products.

Location: Nottingham
Salary: £35,000
Hybrid working between home and on site

Key Responsibilities:

Taking ownership of tickets and bugs that may arise from the Professional Services
function.
Taking part in all stages of the software development lifecycle as part of a close-knit,
highly collaborative and continuously improving team
Leading agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, planning meetings and retrospectives

Experience:

Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
Experience working in a Development, Operations, or Support role
Proven experience in managing support tickets
Experience in managing knowledge bases to speed up support ticket resolution and to move resolution closer to the customer contact point
Demonstrable experience in delivering high quality, first-time fixes
Creative problem-solving ability
Attention to detail
Strong team working skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to prioritise and adhere to deadlines
Experience of mentoring team members in professional and personal development
Able to appropriately identify, prevent, and remediate technical debt Desirable
Knowledge of C#
A good knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
Infrastructure as Code scripting using Terraform
Modern front-end web development frameworks, such as Vue, React, Angular ASP.NET, MVC, Web API
