UG Civils Cabler

We are currently searching for a hard working Underground Fibre cabling team to work in multiple areas, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dumfries, Lanarkshire, Central & Fyfe, Ayreshire & Clyde South to complete requirements for multiple contracts.

The role will include

• Carry out risk assessments on the tablets provided and photograph all completed works
• Digging Trenches and other Civils duties
• Be competent at interpreting job packs
• Follow specific details and instructions regarding cable routing
• Understand the importance of SLG and be competent at correctly distributing it on site to ensure compliance and safety
• Pulling in lengths of underground cable
• Capable of blowing fibre cable when required

Skills and qualifications

• NRSWA Unit 2
• SPEN Authorisation
• SA001 and/or SA002
• K8
• S7
• Confined spaces
• Smart Awards (NOPS)
• Relevant Openreach recognised accreditations
• Full UK Driving license- qualified to drive MEWP

SPEN Authorisation is required!

Rate of pay is negotable
