Job Title: WordPress Developer 
Location: St.Albans (4 days in office, 1 day WFH)
Salary: 45k starting 

A full-service marketing and business growth agency, based in the centre of St Albans is looking for an experienced WordPress developer to join them on a full-time basis. They are dedicated to helping their clients establish a strong online presence and achieve their business goals. As a WordPress Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the success of their clients.

You will be responsible for the refresh, build, and development of new client websites and then their ongoing maintenance and updates.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Building bespoke HTML/CSS/PHP custom-built sites and widgets, not just adapting themes within the WordPress framework.
  • Looking after clients with retainers and ensuring tasks are planned and executed efficiently.
  • Maintaining hosting packages and staging websites (Plesk)
  • Building templates and emails within MailChimp monthly.
  • Create, present, and deliver wireframes
  • Work with creative designers, and content writers, and then build out the sites. 
Successful candidates will have the following skills:
  • HTML, CSS - knowledge of bootstrap or similar frameworks
  • jQuery
  • WordPress (6+ years)
  • Photoshop (desired)
  • PHP
  • Knowledge of Plesk / Apache (desired)
  • Knowledge of MailChimp (desired)
  • Good understanding of SEO
