Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer - SQL and Microsoft Technologies
Location: Northampton (once every 2 weeks in the office)
Salary: £30k-£35k

Role Overview:
As a 2nd Line Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Microsoft technologies, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and the resolution of any technical issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues escalated from the 1st line support team.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for SQL database-related problems.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Document and update support tickets with accurate information and solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, keeping clients informed about the status of their support requests.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a 2nd line support role, with a focus on SQL and Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse and resolve technical issues.
  • Proficient in SQL database administration and maintenance.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, SQL Server) will be advantageous.
