Job title: Data & Ecommerce Executive
Location: Normanton, Wakefield
Hybrid: 3/4x a week in office
Salary: Up to £25,000

Their passion and expertise in skin started in 2005 with their clinic and in 2008, the online shop was born. Their online shop allows them to provide comprehensive home-treatment products to improve skin and make it the best it can be. As an authorised stockist of hundreds of skincare and beauty brands, they are in the unique and fortunate position to be able to offer customers a completely bespoke service with the very best and most effective products.

Purpose/Summary 

As a data-first business, your primary responsibility as Data & Ecommerce Executive will be to analyse a wealth of data views, to improve both business decision making and to enhance our customer first marketing approach. You’ll join as the 5th member of the eCommerce, based in the marketing office that’s set to be 18 strong this year, working closely with our marketing, brand, and leadership teams to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Secondary to this will be supporting the eCommerce team with managing and maintaining the website.

Key Accountabilities 

Reporting and Insights:

  • Data & Insights:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and expand data visualizations & dashboards.
    • Track key business health metrics through regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
    • Analyze marketing campaign performance in comparison to historical data.
    • Drive content marketing and storytelling initiatives through data-driven insights.
    • Leverage external data sources to uncover market trends and benchmark our position.
    • Support short & long-term business forecasts with insightful data presentations.
    • Explore new reporting & analysis techniques, optimize current processes for efficiency.
    Marketing & Growth:
    • Orchestrate website merchandising during promotions, utilizing Shopify features & third-party apps.
    • Conduct comprehensive market research: competitor analysis, new product/website opportunities, and industry trends (Health & Beauty sector).
    • Employ tools like Google Keyword Planner, Trends, and Similarweb to inform research efforts.

Data Visualisation:
  • Presenting all data in easy to digest graphical formats, for a range of different stakeholders
  • Utilising data visualisation tool as required to present data 

Customer segmentation:
  • Interrogating our Customer Data Platform to understand trends in buying behaviour
  • Identifying opportunities to enrich the current customer database
  • Developing new segments to be used for retention-based marketing activity 

Person Specification

Essential:
  • Data orientated and analytically minded
  • In depth knowledge of Google Analytics including GA4
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders

Desirable:
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in an equivalent analytical role
  • Experience with tools such as SQL, Python, Google BigQuery, Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience in the beauty or retail industry is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Shopify and Ometria
  • Previous working knowledge of a Customer Data Platform
  • 1-2 years’ experience in an equivalent analytical role
  • Data Visualisation tools such as Looker Studio

Either internal or external training would be provided on the desirable requirements.
