Data Engineer Lead
Salary: £50,000
Location: Remote with some limited travel to the office located in Thame (Oxfordshire)

A fantastic opportunity has come up to work for a growing organisation that has recently received lots of financial investment to grow all areas of their Analytics and Business Intelligence devisions, and they have also now started working with Azure, Dev-ops and Data Factory, and are happy to provide trining on all areas.
They are looking for a Data Engineering Lead / Manager who will be responsible for the planning, modelling, building and maintenance of their clients data marts and also their central data warehouse solutions and data integration projects.
If you don’t have managerial experiance, that’s ok, as they are also open to hiring people who are keen to take a step up and lead others, so if progression is important for you, this could be a great potential opportunity.
Other key areas of this role will involve having a key voice in the future roadmap for the Microsoft BI stack and enterprise data management within their business and also provide expertise to a team of other data managers and BI developers in best practices and development techniques.
Role Structure
The Data Engineering Lead / Manager will be part of the Business Intelligence team made up of Data Managers, BI Developers and Database Administrators. The role will be primarily remote working with occasional visits to our offices based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and management of dimensionally-modelled data warehouse solutions
- Design and development of data ETL routines
- Investigate code and data issues to determine the root cause and implement fixes
- Produce documentation (functional and technical)
Key Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience developing data warehouse and ETL solutions
- Experience of Kimball data modelling techniques
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and document technical solutions
- Strong skills with T-SQL, SSIS and Visual Studio
