Job description
Data Engineer (On-Site in Derby) £40,000 - £65,000
SC cleared, Data Engineer, Python, SQL, Azure, Data warehouse, ETL, CICD, Pipelines
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a high-security data and analytics practice. You will join a cross-functional team of data scientists, data visualisation consultants, AI developers, and data analysts.
SQL Database and Python coding skills are the non-negotiables for this role. You can expect to work on, cloud-based analytics, enterprise search, predictive modelling and real-time reporting. This project work is carried out by embedding yourself into customer teams, and this role will be based on client sites in Derbyshire.
For this role you will need to have or be able to obtain Security Clearance which in turn, means we can only accept applications from those born within the United Kingdom For those based across the UK, benefits are on offer which includes travel and accommodation costs, so please ensure you apply to find out more.
Requirements
Data analysis and acquisition:
• Capturing data requirements from both customer and technical teams
• Understanding and identifying data sources to support data requirements
• Setting up interfaces to source systems and/or working with system owners to facilitate it
• Setting up data acquisition pipelines to move data from source to target systems
Data engineering and processing:
• Setting up data processing jobs to clean and transform data
• Applying business logic and feature engineering techniques to generate data sets
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning data pipelines
• Supporting data science teams in their data acquisition
