Job Summary:
My client is looking for a skilled Azure Platform Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining their platform architecture to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of their systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust and reliable platform services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the platform architecture, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Manage and maintain the infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and security
- Continuously monitor and optimize the platform's performance and availability
- Automate manual tasks and implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in platform engineering and recommend improvements to the existing architecture
- At least 3 years of experience in Platform or DevOps engineering or related roles.
- Solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based platforms: Azure
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (IaC): Terraform
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines: Ideally Azure DevOps, but Jenkins or GitLab etc are fine
- Experience with automation tools e.g., Ansible
- Experience with scripting tools: ideally PowerShell but other accepted
- Strong experience of operating systems: Linux and Windows
- Experience with monitoring skills e.g., Prometheus, DataDog, Grafana etc
- Strong experience with automation tools e.g., Ansible
- Experience with .Net or ReactJS
- Experience with testing tools
