Digital Waffle is proud to have partnered with a Parisian company at the forefront of sustainable fashion technology, who seek a visionary Head of Machine Learning to lead their talented team and shape the future of the industry.

The Role:
As the Head of Machine Learning, you will be a strategic leader, providing direction and expertise to the team of data scientists and engineers. You will play a key role in defining the roadmap for our AI applications, ensuring they deliver real-world impact on fashion's environmental footprint.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for utilizing machine learning and computer vision in sustainable fashion applications.
• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a high-performing machine learning team.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and sustainability experts to identify opportunities and translate them into technical requirements.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models using computer vision for tasks like material identification, garment analysis, and production optimization.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team.
• Represent the team and the company at industry conferences and events.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.

What You Bring:

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists.
• Proven track record of successfully designing, developing, and deploying impactful machine learning models in production environments.
• In-depth knowledge of computer vision techniques and their applications within the fashion industry (a plus).
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team.
• Fluency in French and English is a strong plus.
