Digital Waffle is working in partnership with a care specialist company. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Infrastructure Engineer.

Job Role:

The successful candidate will provide IT security expertise and support for the business's IT infrastructure, systems, operating systems, and software. This role is the final engineering escalation point for all IT security issues faced by the organization and therefore requires someone with excellent knowledge and a good amount of experience in the Cyber Security technology space.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:
  • Develop, deploy and operate a new SIEM for the business as well as other security applications and tools.
  • Provide excellent IT technical engineering security expertise for servers, clients, services, and applications, both virtual and physical. These systems and services will be a mixture of on-premises and in the private and public cloud.
  • Provide IT technical engineering security expertise and support for the network infrastructure, contributing to its design, implementation, and operation.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments across all IT systems, using the results to advise and assist in the development and deployment of subsequent remediation.
  • Working with the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager and other IT staff, plan for potential breaches and ways to mitigate and minimize the impact they would have.
  • Undertake regular phishing tests for the business and work with external partners to carry out penetration tests and participate in the development and operation of resulting action plans.
  • Play a fundamental role in the patching of all IT infrastructure
  • Working with the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager and other IT staff to develop the corporate network, systems, and security as and when required.
  • The root causes analysis of IT security issues and implements appropriate solutions.
  • Implement IT projects that are defined and planned with the liaison of the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the DR processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation of IT services and operations.
  • Keep accurate records of company equipment, software, and installations.
