Job Title: Infrastructure Manager
Location: Birmingham, UK (Hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE

Role Overview:
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including a mix of on-premises and cloud-based technologies. This role requires a strong background in Microsoft Azure, networking, and virtualisation, as well as excellent leadership skills. You will be managing a team of IT professionals and collaborating with other departments to ensure that our infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, focusing on Azure cloud services and on-premises environments with VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Manage network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Oversee server management, including Windows Server and Linux systems, ensuring regular maintenance, updates, and security patches.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure high availability and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce best practices and compliance standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, promoting teamwork and innovation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Proven expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and equipment, including Cisco routers and switches.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing IT teams.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Cisco CCNA/CCNP, are desirable.
