Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid)
Salary: Total package £60k - base salary £40k-£50k + Bonus & Car Allowance

Are you an experienced Network Engineer with a passion for designing and maintaining robust network infrastructures? We are seeking a skilled professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation:
  • Plan, design, and implement scalable and secure network solutions.
  • Utilise Cisco switches and Fortinet firewalls to optimise network performance.
• Firewall Management:
  • Manage and configure Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls to ensure the highest level of security.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring a proactive approach to network defense.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide technical support for network-related issues and incidents.
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve network problems promptly.
• Performance Optimisation:
  • Continuously monitor and optimise network performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the network.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations and changes.
  • Ensure all network-related processes and procedures are well-documented and adhered to.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco switches, Cisco ASA, and Fortinet firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
