Job description

We’re seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join our digital team in Leeds.
If you're an experienced Developer looking to progress quickly into a Senior position within a smaller team, our setup will provide you that platform to gain experience in leading projects, mentoring junior team members, whilst also bringing your coding strategies and approach to the table.
We have an adaptable approach to programming languages, prioritising the selection of the most suitable languages for specific tasks.

Role: PHP Developer
Salary £45-£55k
Location: Leeds (With UK based remote working)
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain applications using PHP, ensuring high-quality code and adhering to best practices and coding standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and other developers, to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • To be entrusted with coming up with ideas to present to the development team for possible solutions around issues.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of applications, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and platforms

Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful web application projects
  • Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Knowledge of modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
  • Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
