Data & Fibre Installation Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Warrington & surrounding areas
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Role Overview

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Engineer with a background in data cabling and fibre optics. This is a permanent position offering long-term stability, great earning potential, and the chance to work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects.
You'll be responsible for both first fix and second fix installations, ensuring high-quality delivery of structured cabling systems across client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fibre optic cabling
• 
  Carry out first fix (cable routing, containment) and second fix (termination, testing, commissioning)
• 
  Work from site plans and technical drawings
• 
  Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on cabling systems
• 
  Maintain accurate records of installations and test results
• 
  Liaise with site managers and clients to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements

• 
  Proven experience in data cabling and fibre installations
• 
  Confident with first and second fix work
• 
  Ability to use testing equipment (e.g. Fluke, OTDR)
• 
  Strong understanding of health & safety on site
• 
  Full UK driving licence
• 
  Good communication and problem-solving skills
