Role: Director of Engineering

Chattanooga (Twice a week) | $160,000 - $180,000 + Bonus + Benefits

I am seeking an innovative, strategic, and people-driven Director of Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams building and scaling a multi-channel CPaaS platform (SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Voice, Email, RCS).

This is a high-impact leadership role, shaping technical strategy, scaling global engineering operations, and ensuring delivery of robust, cloud-native solutions that power business communication worldwide.

Director of Engineering roles & responsibilities:

• Setting technical vision & roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Overseeing architecture & delivery of cloud applications (Azure / .NET).
• Driving agile transformation & embedding DevOps culture.
• Recruiting, mentoring & scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Partnering with Product, UX, and commercial leaders to align tech with customer needs.
• Leading M&A integration of platforms & teams into a unified ecosystem.

Director of Engineering required skills:

• Proven track record leading software engineering teams at scale.
• Strong technical background in SaaS / messaging / cloud-native platforms.
• Expertise in Azure, .NET, CI/CD, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communicator, able to engage across technical and commercial functions.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the US and internationally.

You must be based within 2.5 hours of Chattanooga & be happy to be on-site twice a week.
