Role: Cloud Engineer
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + Bonus
Location: Nottingham (80% Remote)
We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure function within a tech-driven organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex cloud challenges, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and helping shape modern, scalable Azure environments.

What you'll be doing:

Partner with internal teams to design and deliver reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions built on Microsoft Azure.

Deploy, configure, and maintain core Azure services, ensuring strong performance, resilience, and operational best practice.

Set up and manage monitoring and alerting across cloud resources; analyse metrics and fine-tune systems to improve efficiency.

Champion cloud security by applying best-practice controls across identity, access, networking, and data protection.

Act as a key escalation point for cloud-related incidents-diagnosing issues, resolving problems quickly, and preventing recurrence.

Support high-availability initiatives through load balancing, caching, and content delivery configuration.

Collaborate regularly with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure a consistently reliable platform.

Essential skills & experience:

Around 3+ years working with Azure services (compute, storage, networking, databases).

Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID.

Hands-on scripting experience with PowerShell.

Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).

Experience using Azure DevOps.

Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking principles.

Experience with Active Directory.

Understanding of containerisation tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.

Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
-
Microsoft Azure certifications are a bonus.
