Data Cabling Engineer

Data Cabling Engineer / Structured Cabling Engineer - Manchester

£220 per day | Contract | Immediate Start
We are recruiting experienced Data Cabling Engineers and Structured Cabling Engineers for long-term contract work in Manchester. This role is ideal for skilled data cablers, network cabling engineers, and telecoms engineers with commercial project experience.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Installation of structured data cabling systems
• 
  Termination and installation of Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cables
• 
  Fibre optic cabling including pulling, terminating, and testing (splicing beneficial)
• 
  Installation and dressing of data cabinets, racks, patch panels, and containment
• 
  Testing, labelling, and fault finding using Fluke or similar testers
• 
  Working from technical drawings, schematics, and site plans
• 
  Commercial and industrial site work (offices, warehouses, data centres)

Essential Requirements

• 
  Proven experience as a Data Cabling Engineer / Structured Cabling Engineer
• 
  Strong background in network cabling, telecoms, and low-voltage installations
• 
  Valid CSCS Card or ECS Card
• 
  Own data cabling tools, testers, and PPE
• 
  Ability to work independently and within a team
• 
  Good understanding of TIA/EIA standards and structured cabling best practices

Desirable (Not Essential)

• 
  IPAF or PASMA certification
• 
  Fibre splicing experience
• 
  Data centre or large commercial project experience
