Senior Python Engineer
A fast-scaling, AI-enabled property technology business is hiring a Back End Engineer to help build the next generation of products powering a rapidly growing platform.
Backed by significant funding and scaling quickly through acquisition and technology, the business is using AI and automation to modernise a fragmented industry at scale.
This role is not about maintaining legacy systems or working through endless tickets. It is for someone who thrives in fast-moving engineering environments and already uses modern AI-assisted development workflows as part of how they build software.
Role: Backend Engineer - Python/AWS
Salary: £70,000-£80,000
Location: UK-Based Remote Working
What you'll be doing:
- Build and scale modern Backend applications using Python (FastAPI)
- Work closely with product, design and engineering teams to deliver new platform capabilities
- Operate in a highly iterative, AI-enabled engineering environment
- Use agentic development workflows and AI tooling to accelerate delivery and improve output.
- Contribute to Backend architecture, component systems and overall engineering standards
- Collaborate with Frontend engineers working across React and modern infrastructure tooling
- Help shape engineering processes within a fast-scaling technology business
What you'll need:
- Strong commercial experience with Python and FastAPI experience is essential
- Experience within high-performance scaleups or fast-growth product businesses
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted or agentic development workflows as part of your day-to-day engineering process. Claude, Cursor etc
- Strong product mindset with the ability to move quickly and operate autonomously
- Experience working closely with modern Frontend environments is beneficial
- Exposure to React is advantageous
- Comfortable operating in high-ownership engineering cultures
