An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading international professional services organisation for a Tax Technology Assistant Manager.

This is a highly visible role sitting within a national Tax Technology function, focused on driving the adoption of AI and automation solutions that transform the way tax services are delivered. Working alongside tax specialists, technology professionals, and developers, you'll help identify opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and drive measurable improvements across the business.

The Role:

As a Tax Technology Assistant Manager, you'll be instrumental in delivering AI and automation initiatives designed to improve efficiency, enhance service quality, and empower tax professionals to work smarter.

You'll work across a broad range of projects, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and helping to shape the future direction of technology within a large and evolving tax function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the delivery of AI and automation projects from concept through to implementation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop innovative technology-led solutions.
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into practical workflows and user-focused solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
  • Drive successful adoption of new technologies through communication, engagement, and training.
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Monitor outcomes and use data analytics to measure success and identify further opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Tax business to promote innovation and continuous improvement.

You may have:

  • Experience within Tax Technology, either in-house or in a client-facing environment.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance and advisory processes.
  • A keen interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Experience translating business requirements into user stories, workflows, process maps, or solution designs.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence using data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive approach with a focus on delivering tangible results.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A natural curiosity and desire to continually learn and improve.
