Role: Senior FP&A Business Partner (Contract)
Location: Fully Remote, UK
Day Rate: £300-£350 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3-Month Contract Initially
We're working with an established, fast-paced organisation looking for an experienced Senior FP&A Business Partner to join the finance team on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, driving financial performance, and influencing business decisions across multiple functions.
You'll play a key role in managing the financial planning and analysis for several corporate functions, helping leadership teams make informed investment decisions while maintaining strong cost control.
The Role
Working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll act as the lead finance partner across key business areas including Technology, People, Marketing and Corporate Services.
You'll be responsible for delivering meaningful financial insight, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting business leaders with data-driven decision making. The role also involves providing guidance to a Finance Analyst, ensuring high-quality reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, People, Marketing and other corporate functions.
- Deliver financial analysis, commercial insight and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and monthly reforecasting activities.
- Produce detailed monthly reporting, variance analysis and executive-level commentary.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives across the business.
- Develop and improve financial reporting, dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Ensure strong governance around cost reporting, allocations and financial controls.
- Mentor and support a Finance Analyst, reviewing work and providing coaching where required.
- Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or commercial finance.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting.
- Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and influencing decision making.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience analysing large, complex data sets.
- Ability to translate financial data into clear commercial insights.
- Previous experience mentoring, managing or supporting junior finance team members.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Experience within a technology, SaaS or professional services environment.
- Power BI reporting experience.
- Previous finance business partnering experience supporting Technology, HR/People or Marketing functions.
