Pre-Sales Solution Architect - Cyber Security

Location: Glasgow | UK-wide travel required

The Opportunity

We're working with a leading cyber security and information security services provider that helps organisations strengthen their security posture, manage risk and protect against evolving cyber threats.

They're now looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join their team, acting as the technical lead throughout the pre-sales process and helping translate customer requirements into compelling, commercially viable cyber security solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical cyber security knowledge with commercial awareness and the confidence to engage with customers, influence decisions and shape solutions from initial discovery through to proposal.

The Role

You'll work closely with sales teams, account managers and technical specialists to understand customer challenges, scope solutions and lead technical discussions throughout the pre-sales process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scoping and presenting cyber security solutions, including penetration testing, cyber strategy and SOC services.
  • Engaging with customers to understand requirements and communicate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Supporting proposals, tenders and RFP/RFI responses with technical and commercial expertise.
  • Working with account managers to identify opportunities for additional services and account growth.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions are effective, commercially viable and deliverable.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging cyber threats, security technologies and industry developments.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering or advising on information security services within, or to, large organisations.
  • Strong experience scoping and presenting penetration testing, cyber strategy and SOC engagements.
  • Knowledge of security assessments, risk management, compliance, SIEM, XDR, cloud and endpoint security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Security technologies; Exabeam knowledge is advantageous.
  • Understanding of cloud security and corporate information security projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • A proactive, collaborative and commercially minded approach.

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide.
  • Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance; existing transferable clearance preferred.

If you're a cyber security professional who combines technical expertise with customer engagement and solution design, we'd love to hear from you!
